Venture South International is a Swiss holding companies which invests in affiliate lending companies. The affiliates are non-bank finance companies which make different loans to small and growing business in the countries where they operate. VSI is a strategic partner and raises capital for each affiliate company. VSI is currently raising capital in the form of loans to be used for on lending.
Venture South’s strategy is to lend to individuals and small enterprises which have started out taking loans from microfinance institutions for modest amounts. VS lends to entrepreneurs who are ready to gratitude from small solidarity loans to larger loans guaranteed by fixed asset.
Venture South began lending in August 2008. Since then, Venture South has rose over US$ 2 million and made over 659 loans for a value of over US$ 2.6 million. The outstanding portfolio in March 2011 was US$ 1.5 million and growing daily.
